Jacques Nieuwland became Executive Vice President Human Resources, IT, Communications and Legal Affairs in 2000.
Born in Uccle, Belgium in 1949, Jacques Nieuwland attended the Catholic University of Leuven (UCL), where he gained a degree in Law in 1975. In 1993, he attended the General Management Programme CEDEP at INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
He began his career at Intercom in 1975 where he was a Legal Advisor and subsequently Under-Secretary in the General Secretariat. He joined Tractebel in 1989 in the same capacity, becoming Joint Director in the Communication and Secretariat Department.
Jacques Nieuwland has a number of other responsibilities within the SUEZ-Tractebel Group. He is also Director of SUEZ Energy North America. |
