GDF SUEZ Energy International has interests and operations in five Latin American countries:

• Argentina
• Brazil
• Chile
• Panama
• Peru

Latin America was one of the first markets GDF SUEZ Energy International entered ; in 1992 the first projects started to be developed. Its main activities in the region are the construction and operation of power plants based on conventional, combined cycle, and hydro-electric technology; and the construction and operation of natural gas transport and distribution systems.
