The SUEZ Group is well established in the international LNG scene. Through its various operational companies, the Group has been in the LNG business for over 35 years.

SUEZ Energy International is involved in the liquefaction, transport, storage and regasification of LNG, thus having a position in most parts of the value chain, with the exception of exploration and production.

The SUEZ energy companies are well established in LNG circles, with a strong presence in the Atlantic Basin, mainly through the control of LNG regasification terminals on both sides of the Atlantic. These terminals are in Zeebrugge, Belgium, operated by Fluxys; and in Everett, Massachussetts, Boston, operated by SUEZ LNG NA.

In order to meet the increasing demand in New England, SUEZ Energy North America is pursuing new projects to boost its LNG capacity in North America.
The Neptune LNG Deepwater Project will be located off the coast of Massachusetts and is seen as supplement to the Everett LNG terminal.
Neptune will provide an average of 400 million cubic feet of natural gas per day - enough to serve 1.5 million homes daily.
In parallel with the Neptune Project, SUEZ Energy North America is pursuing the development of Calypso LNG, a similar Deepwater Port off the Florida coast delivering gas to the Florida market.

SUEZ Global LNG identifies and develops new sources of LNG supply to support further development of its sister companies in the regional downstream gas markets. SUEZ Global LNG also coordinates the SUEZ group's fleet of LNG carriers: SUEZ Matthew, Berge Boston, Berge Everett, Catalunya Spirit, Methania and Mourad Didouche.

SUEZ Global LNG also manages the Group's 10% equity participation in Atlantic LNG, a liquefaction plant in Trinidad and Tobago. ALNG is the primary source of LNG delivered for SUEZ Energy International's LNG activities in North America.

In 2005, SUEZ LNG Trading signed an agreement with Yemen LNG to purchase 2.5 million tons of LNG per year for a period of 20 years. In order to transport the LNG from the Yemen terminal, SUEZ Global LNG has chartered three additional LNG carriers.

SUEZ Global LNG is a global LNG player, supplying LNG to the Far East, Europe and North America. It is one of the largest spot suppliers in the Far East and one of the largest LNG suppliers to the USA.

Overall, the global LNG market offers great potential for expansion and is likely to be one of the main drivers of SUEZ Energy International's growth in the years to come.
