2003 highlights.

January 2003
Bowin power plant started its commercial operation to supply a total of 713 MW of electric power to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

February 2003
Tractebel de Mexico inaugurated a new 245 MW cogeneration facility in the city of Monterrey. The power will be supplied to 38 industrial facilities across the country, under 15 year supply contracts.

April 2003
Tractebel Energy Services, Inc. (TESI) announced that it signed a contract with Crescent to provide 130 MW of peak electricity load to 68 buildings owned by the real estate company and its subsidiaries in the Houston and Dallas areas.

May 2003
The Al Taweelah power and water desalination plant was inaugurated in Abu Dhabi. The facility, totaling a power generation of 1,430 MW and a daily water production of 385,000 cubic meters, represents roughly 25% of the total electricity and water production of the Emirate.

June 2003
Tractebel LNG North America LLC, operator of the United States' first LNG import terminal in Everett, Massachusetts, and Bergesen, one of the world's leading shipping companies based in Oslo, Norway, announced the launch of Berge Everett, a new 138,000 cubic meter liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier that will begin making deliveries for Tractebel under an exclusive, long-term charter.

Glow experiences strong organic growth in the industrial area Map ta Phut. It started the construction of a new cogeneration unit capable of supplying 35 MW and 80 tonnes/hour of steam in addition to the existing capacity.

Tractebel announced that to date it has supplied half of all of the United States' imported liquefied natural gas. Tractebel LNG North America has been making deliveries to the Everett LNG terminal it owns and operates, since late 1971 and more recently, to new or re-activated LNG facilities in Penuelas (Puerto Rico), Lake Charles (Louisiana) and Elba Island (Georgia).

Tractebel signed an agreement with Statoil for the delivery of 36 million MMBtu per year of LNG to Statoil at the Cove Point LNG import facility in Maryland (US).

September 2003
First cargo from Trinidad & Tobago (Atlantic LNG) to Japan (TEPCO) on the Berge Everett. Tractebel LNG London negotiated the purchase with Tractebel LNG North America and the sale with Mitsui and Tokyo Electric of Japan.

September 2003
Tractebel LNG signed an MOU with Peru LNG. Under the agreement, which covers supply of some 2.7 million metric tonnes per year for a period of 18 years, EGI will ship LNG from Pampa Melchorita in Peru, to its proposed LNG receiving terminal and regasification facility in Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico.

Tractebel North America inaugurated the 520 MW Chehalis power plant, bringing more clean and reliable energy to serve the Pacific Northwest.

Tractebel Energy Services, Inc. (TESI) announced that it had exceeded first-year expectations, achieving over $500 million in total contract value representing more than 1,200 MW and 2,500 customer accounts.

Chilean generator Colbún signed a contract to supply 687 MW of power to distributor Chilelectra from 2004 until 2018.

The Glow group successfully completed the refinancing of 13 billion THB (approximately $ 325 million) debt. The new debentures have terms of five and seven years. TRIS Rating Co., Ltd. affirmed the company rating of Glow SPP PLC (GLOW SPP) at "A-".

Tractebel EGI closed the sale of its minority stakes in 3 Singaporean joint ventures to its partner SembCorp Utilities Pte Ltd. The deal is worth some EUR 93 million and produced a capital gain in the range of EUR 40 million.

January 2004
Tractebel North America, Inc. (TNA) concluded the sale of two cogeneration facilities in California to Lightyear Capital, LLC, a private equity firm. Both facilities are fueled with natural gas and hold long-term agreements to serve regulated utilities in their respective service areas. The purchase price was approximately 80 MUSD and represents a material gain.
