United States : Tractebel North America, Inc. sold its two cogeneration facilities Ripon and San Gabriel in California to Lightyear Capital, LLC and Rockland Capital Energy Investments, LLC for a total amount of approximately US$ 80 million.

Peru : The government awarded Enersur a 30-year concession for the operation of the hydroelectric plant in Yuncan (130 MW) and for its transmission facilities. In order to raise funds to auto finance such operation, Tractebel in Peru decided to sell a portion of its shares in Enersur (21.05 % sold) to the local pension funds (AFPs).

LNG : Tractebel Global LNG signed a Master Agreement for the purchase of LNG from Qatar Liquefied Gas Co. Ltd.

Chile : Colbun’s 384 MW Nehuenco II combined cycle plant entered commercial operation. In March construction works were started for the 247 MW Candelaria power plant, which is expected to come on line in April 2005.
May 2004
Turkey : Baymina Enerji, in which Tractebel EGI holds a 95% stake, inaugurated the 763 MW Ankara natural gas combined cycle power plant, supplying electricity to the entire city of Ankara and its surroundings.
United States : Tractebel North America, Inc. (TNA) signed a definitive agreement with Thermal North America, Inc. for the sale of ten District Heating and Cooling Systems (DHCS), located in different US states and operated by TNA’s affiliate Trigen Energy Corporation. The sale is pending federal and state regulatory approvals.
United States : The 746 MW Wise County power plant entered commercial operation.

Brazil : Tractebel Energia won a tender to supply Argentina with 500 MW of electricity for 3 months. The commercial contract between the Argentinean Pool (Cammesa) and a private player in Brazil was the first of its kind, creating a powerful precedent for future cross-border transactions.
July 2004
LNG : Tractebel Global LNG and Fluxys LNG signed a long-term LNG terminalling Capacity Subscription Agreement. The agreement gives Tractebel Global LNG the right to unload and regasify 2.1 billion cubic metres of natural gas per year at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal for a period of 20 years starting late 2007.
Oman : Tractebel EGI is selected to design, build, own, operate and maintain the greenfield Sohar Independent Water and Power project in Oman. The project consists of a 585.5 MW combined cycle gas turbines plant and a 33 million imperial gallons a day (6,250 cubic meters per hour) water desalination plant. Tractebel EGI and its local partners successfully completed the limited-recourse financing of the Sohar Power Company SAOC in November 2004.
Bahrain : Tractebel EGI won the tender to design, build, own, operate and maintain the greenfield Al Ezzel Independent Power Producer (IPP) project. The project consists of a plant of 966 MW of electric capacity. Tractebel EGI and its partner Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) successfully completed the limited-recourse financing of the Al Ezzel Power Company B.S.C. in November 2004.
United States : During the first seven months of 2004, Tractebel Energy Services, Inc., (TESI) continued to expand its activities through the signature of several new energy supply contracts with institutional, industrial and commercial customers (Brazos River Authority, PM Realty Group, Boxer Property Management, Moody Gardens, …). It also received approval from the Maryland Public Service Commission to supply retail electricity to Maryland customers, bringing the number of deregulated states where it is licensed to operate to seven.
At the end of June, TESI announced that it had surpassed US$ 1 billion in contract value in its first 18 months of operations, serving more than 6,000 customer accounts representing more than 2,000 MW of electricity.

Peru : Tractebel EGI started up the commercial operations of its gas distribution network in the greater Lima area. Its 100% subsidiary GNLC – renamed into Calidda in December 2004 – built the distribution pipeline and is responsible for its operations, delivering natural gas to industrial, commercial and residential customers. Tractebel EGI has also a 8% stake in TGP, the consortium which has built the pipeline designed to transport natural gas and natural gas liquids from the Camisea gas fields to Lima and Pisco.

United States: Tractebel Energy Services, Inc. (TESI) begun providing energy to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania market, bringing the number of states in which it is licensed to operate to ten: Texas, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Brazil : Tractebel Energia took part in the first auction of existing energy, organised by the Brazilian autorities.
United States : Tractebel North America, Inc., FPL Group Resources and El Paso announced that they are joining their efforts and resources to develop, construct and operate a single LNG receiving and regasification terminal in the Bahamas and related under-sea natural gas pipeline to serve the South Florida market beginning around 2008.
